Nancy's Story
Balancing family and a career isn't always easy. But seeing the look on my children's faces when I had to go back to the office after dinner (yet again), I knew something had to change. Family is the most important thing in our lives and setting an example is our top priority.
Nancy's Story: I received my REALTORS® license when I was just 23 years old and have been passionately pursuing the industry ever since. Once I became a mom, balancing my career and home life got a bit more challenging. I spent several years working as an agent in the new construction and re-sale industry. It's was incredibly demanding, but I was good at my job and the pay was great. The hours away from home and my kids wore on me and it was getting increasingly more difficult to juggle it all. One day, I had enough. I was only home for a few hours between appointments for dinner and needed to go back to the office. As I was leaving, my son and daughter had their arms wrapped around my legs, begging me not to go. My heart broke and that was it – I couldn't do it anymore. In that moment, I revaluated my life and made the decision to put my family first. Work was getting to be too much, and I had to pull back the reigns for the sake of my family. I left new construction and focused solely on re-sale, still acting as a full-time agent.
The Battle for Balance
I needed to have control of my life and my time again. My kids were still little and I just didn't want to miss out on those precious childhood years. Through real estate seminars and the Buffini mentorship I was motivated, inspired, and balanced! In fact, I had the best balance of my life and I'm so grateful that I made the decision to focus on what mattered the most.
I was no longer just going through the motions with work and family; I was present and involved. As my kids have grown and set off on their own adventures, I've put more into my business. In the past year, I have grown my company significantly and am excited to be helping more clients find their dream home. Real estate has always been a passion of mine. It's an outlet for me to make a difference in the lives of my clients and be a supportive role model and parent for my children. And now, I couldn't be more excited to be moving forward with this company with my daughter, Marissa, by my side.
Marissa's Story
While growing up, I remember seeing how hard my mom worked. She was gone a lot, but she inspired me. I spent countless days in her office coloring or keeping busy while she worked tirelessly for her clients. Looking back, I'm so grateful for the example she has been to me. She showed me how to be a successful business woman and mother. She showed me what determination will get you when you chase your dreams. When the dream I was chasing came to a dead end, she was there to pick me up and cheer me on to new adventures. After graduating high school a year early, I set out to get my nursing degree. I took all the right classes and stayed two steps ahead to hopefully make my way into a nursing program. Unfortunately, things didn't pan out and I was crushed. But rather than feeling defeated, I felt encouraged. I was led to the same career path that has blessed my family all these years and I'm lucky enough to have my own mom as my mentor. I received my REALTORS® license in the beginning of 2019 and I am so excited for the opportunities that lie ahead.
